Qualitake can provide the Fitness for Service (FFS) as a technical practice and standard, which is mainly used by industries for In-Service equipment to evaluate and measure their fitness for the purposed services. FFS is a rational basis for defining flaw acceptance limits and allows the quality control and technical inspection team to distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable flaws and damage based on industrial standards.
The FFS is generally performed in two levels. A low-level FFS will highlight if the component is fit for continued service with limited data. This is sometimes named as screening assessment. Once the item is found to be critical as per low-level FFS assessment, a high-level detailed FFS assessment can be done with more data to indicate the condition of the asset in a more reliable deep.
